Tungsten Wedding Rings

My boyfriend and I decided to get marry next month nothing big but the sooner the better. I have no idea what the rules about the rings are. Is he suppose to buy me an engagement ring and then a wedding ring or can you buy them as a pair and just wear one until you’re marry or do you need to have an engagement ring and buy a separate one to get married. Help!

I have a wedding ring which I want to sell. I dont want to go to the pawn shops knowing they will give me nothing for it. Are there places that will give me its true appraised value or close to it? thanks.

My husband came home today and told me that his supervisor wants him to take off his wedding rings while he is working and my husband has been told they cannot legally make him take it off. They are trying to say it’s some kind of hazard but they can wear stud earrings and watches and they can wear their badges around their necks so why not wear a wedding ring? My husband is refusing to take his off. He feels he didn’t stand up there and take his vows and been married for 7 years to take his wedding ring off and/or it get lost or stolen. They told him he could take it off and put it on his key ring and come on now…The key ring could damage his wedding ring and how many people lose their key rings? Then they said he could put it in his wallet…again how many people lose their wallets or they get stolen? I just think its not ethical for an employer to make someone take off their wedding bands. Am I wrong? Isn’t it against the law to make someone take off their wedding rings?

Plus, they allow people there to wear stud earrings and watches and badges around their necks. Other people who work there have worn their rings for 12 years or more. It is not a hazard. My husband does not work somewhere where he will lose his finger if he wears his wedding ring. I told him I didn’t want him to get fired over it but for him this is a very personal and important issue.

I have a personal articles policy on my wedding ring. It is insured for ,500 they are saying I have to accept a quote from their jeweler which is 00 thats less than I originally paid for the ring 18 years ago. Anyone have any experience with this?

what goes on first the engagement ring or the wedding band ive seen people wear the wedding band first then the engagement ring and ive seen some wear the engagement ring first then the wedding band. Which is the correct way to wear them?

I used to think that wedding rings are always worn on the left ring finger. Then when I lived in Germany I learned otherwise. I learned that in Germany people wear engagement rings on the left ringfinger and the wedding ring on the right ringfinger. In the US both the engagement ring and wedding ring are worn on the left ringfinger. Where is the wedding ring worn in your culture?

I have seen a woman keep her engagement ring on and have the wedding band put on top of the engagement ring for the ceremony. But the wedding band is supposed to sit under the engagement ring, right? What would you do switch it after? Or my friend told me, she wore her engagement ring on her right hand, leaving her left hand bare. Than after the ceremony ended, she switched the engagement ring on top of the wedding band. What is the traditional way to do this?
